Follow Friday!

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!

“If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?”

I would love to spend a day in the world created by J.R.R Tolkien for the Lord of the Rings.  It is an amazing world – all the languages and locations and different people!  It would be an awesome experience.

Q. It’s circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them…

1.  My food can’t touch – yes I am one of those people.  Pot lucks are evil!
2.  I love penguins and considered trying to touch one at the St. Louis Zoo before I thought better of it thinking that the zoo keeper might come after me!
3.  I almost always have at least 2 books going.  And I don’t mix them up.
4.  I have a creepy eye thing.  I cannot handle anyone touching their eyes or anything getting too close to mine.  Yep that means NO CONTACTS!
5.  I am kind of OCD – I think things done a certain way and in a certain order.  It is just who I am.

What about you guys?  What do you have to share with me today?

  1. I am so with you on the creepy eye thing! I refuse when somebody wants me to check if they have something in their eye.

  2. Penguins are great!

    I'm an old follower! 😀

Feel free to stop by my blog – http://thegreatthegoodandthebad.blogspot.com/

  3. I don't like potlucks either, but for different reasons. I've stroked a Penguin. They are cute, but stinky. So you would not want to watch me put in or take out my contacts? ;o)

  4. Penguins are some of my favorite creatures! I really want to pet them.

    Here is my answers:

Tolkien's world would be an interesting one to visit. I thought about doing the same thing at the St.Louis zoo, but I was afraid too that the zookeeper would catch me!

  6. Eyes make me squeemish as well.

Just popping by for Follow-Friday (added you!). I hope you have a nice weekend.

  7. Good pick with Lord of the Rings. If I was really given such an opportunity it would have to be some where magical for me!

  8. Girl we are soooooooo alike!! I am OCD as well, although I just like to say that I'm organized about it! Drives my family crazy!

And I have the exact same problem with my eyes!! I can't stand people touching me. When I was a kid I had to be held down to get eye drops for eye exams and when I was in dance recitals my mom would repeatedly tell me to stop flinching my eyes when doing my eye shadow (I was like 7 or 8)! And I'm still pretty flinchy about it too. I cringe when watching my mom do her contacts. I'll stick with my glasses thanks!

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Jessica@a GREAT read

  9. I’ve seen a lot of great picks and gathered some fresh titles to add to my ever-growing TBR list. My answer will probably stun most people because the world I picked is a place most people would be scared to death of and try to escape from. Me? I want in.

  10. Hopping through. I like penguins too. I wonder if they feel like wet birds.

  11. Hopping by to visit and follow! Good pick with Lord of the Rings. I think I'd hole up in the Shire for a day and skip all the adventure, though–hanging out and eating with the Brandybucks is good enough for me. 🙂

  12. Hello!
I can't have my food touch either. My mom always tells me, ” Its all going to the same place in th body of yours.” But it just grosses me out.
    ~Happy Reading!~

  13. Middle Earth was one of my first choices as well, though there seems to be even more fighting there than here!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I'm sure I'll be back.

  14. Hi there, I'm stopping by late from the Hop. (I was at BEA this week.) Thanks for stopping by my blog. We are in agreement with Middle Earth! It would absolutely be an amazing experience. If we go, we'll go together and be the traveling book missionaries.
