“What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?”

Oh great question on Memorial Day Weekend which is always a big Movie release weekend!

I will start off my saying that I don’t link most book to movie situations.  I have a very active imagination and read a book much like a movie playing.  So it is easiest to answer what I didn’t like first. And that is most of them!  I really have stopped seeing most of them in the theater and wait until they come on out DVD so I don’t feel like I wasted a bunch of money on something I didn’t enjoy.  Recent I will have to say that I really disliked the movie of Eat Pray Love.

On to what I did LOVE!  That is a much happier topic.  I love the movies of The Lord of the Rings.  These were done very well.  I knew going into it that there was going to have to be scenes cut but it was very well done!

Q. How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

This is a really tough question for me because it really just depends on the week.  I read all formats really – ebooks, hardcover, paperback and listen to some audiobooks as I have a pretty long drive into work!  I think on average I read between 2 and 3 books a week.  Wait ….wait ….I can figure the average out from what I have read this year which is 62 books plus 2 audio so 64 and we are in week 22 of the year so that is 2.9 books a week so I guess I am closer to 3 a week.

As always I want to hear what you have to say please be sure to leave me a comment or link!

  3. Hey,
I got your comment on my FF, thanks a lot! 🙂
I've just found out that in every page of our posts we can't see the Followers list and that's why it results impossible following people… Anyway, in the main page everything works in the proper way so I was wondering if you don't mind coming back on my blog and follow me back? It would mean a lot to me! 🙂
    Thanks!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I think there are some problems with the following thing, because I don't see you amongst my followers and yours are not appearing, so I can't follow you back O_o

  5. Thanks for stopping by! I'm a new follower.

I really liked the LOTR movies, too, though I haven't actually read the books (yet).

  6. Wow! You did quite a bit of math there! I think I can average around 4 myself. Sometimes more sometimes less. It just depends on my mood. Since I'm job hunting I do have more time on my hands to tackle my TBR pile, but with no income it forces me to dip into my savings to keep a TBR pile for myself! 😉

So I'm happy to be reading lots, but a job would be nice any day now!

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  10. I loved the book Eat, Pray Love. I actually liked the movie too, but the movie could never capture the emotions of that book — I think that movies rarely can. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  11. Thanks for stopping by on the Hop! I haven't seen Eat, Pray, Love yet – something about it has always put me off. But I'm in total agreement on LOTR!
