Q. Let’s step away from besties…What is the worst book that you’ve ever read and actually finished?

Utopia Texas

This book was very hard for me to finish.  It was just not my style.  I give the author a lot of credit for taking on the topic.

Q. ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation.

Oh see this one is really hard for me because I don’t like most books made movies.  I have said this before I know but let’s see if I can come up with something to answer today.  For the sake of this, though I like the books much better.

Hey, what can I say he is just a good looking guy!  I am not sure what my reaction might be but it could be:

Or Maybe

or maybe just

What about you?

I am much more of a Greek Mythology person.  My current favorite is Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini.
Please share your answers.

“How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?”

Well right now I am wishing that I took a picture of my to be read bookshelf before I left the house this morning but I had no idea that this would be the question so I will take a random guess.  In actual book sitting on my shelf at home I would say that there are about 100.  And on my nook and still sitting on NetGalley and in my email, I would say there are another 50-100.  In comparison to a lot of people this is not much but for me it is a TON!

Q. Genre Wars! What’s your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

This is a super hard question for me because I really don’t have a favorite.  I love to move around and try new genres and just really enjoy reading what I want when I want too.  If you take a look around my blog, you will see I read everything from romance to paranormal fantasy to mysteries and more.  No favorites here just a great book.

I would love to know how you feel about these questions.  Please leave me a comment or a link!

Q. The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says “you and your favorite character (from a book of course) can switch places!” Who are you going to switch with?

I love this question!  It could be a tough one but I am not going to over think it.  The series that I have always wanted to be a part of is the Outlander Series by Diana Galbadon.  I love Claire’s character and the challenges that she is faced.  I find her to be a strong woman and pretty darn amazing!

“WHO IS THE ONE AUTHOR THAT YOU ARE DYING TO MEET?

I really would love to meet Jim Butcher and Diana Gabaldon.  I can’t pick just one!  There are both amazing authors and I love their work for two totally different reasons.

What about you?

“Share your favorite post from the last month and tell us why it’s close to your heart!”

I think my favorite post from the last month was my review of Abandon by Meg Cabot.  The reason why this review is so close to my heart is that it was the first review copy that I requested and actually got.  It was super exciting to get it in the mail and realize that it actually happened.  I have requested a few others but never heard anything back so this one was important to me.

Q. What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.)

Well, I am sad to say I don’t have an answer for either of these questions.  I guess I am just pretty boring.

Happy FRIDAY!!! I am off to a road rally after work so I will catch you all later but please leave me a link or comment so I can check out your answers and protect myself against these zombies.

“What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?”

Oh great question on Memorial Day Weekend which is always a big Movie release weekend!

I will start off my saying that I don’t link most book to movie situations.  I have a very active imagination and read a book much like a movie playing.  So it is easiest to answer what I didn’t like first. And that is most of them!  I really have stopped seeing most of them in the theater and wait until they come on out DVD so I don’t feel like I wasted a bunch of money on something I didn’t enjoy.  Recent I will have to say that I really disliked the movie of Eat Pray Love.

On to what I did LOVE!  That is a much happier topic.  I love the movies of The Lord of the Rings.  These were done very well.  I knew going into it that there was going to have to be scenes cut but it was very well done!

Q. How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

This is a really tough question for me because it really just depends on the week.  I read all formats really – ebooks, hardcover, paperback and listen to some audiobooks as I have a pretty long drive into work!  I think on average I read between 2 and 3 books a week.  Wait ….wait ….I can figure the average out from what I have read this year which is 62 books plus 2 audio so 64 and we are in week 22 of the year so that is 2.9 books a week so I guess I am closer to 3 a week.

As always I want to hear what you have to say please be sure to leave me a comment or link!

“If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?”

I would love to spend a day in the world created by J.R.R Tolkien for the Lord of the Rings.  It is an amazing world – all the languages and locations and different people!  It would be an awesome experience.

Q. It’s circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them…

1.  My food can’t touch – yes I am one of those people.  Pot lucks are evil!
2.  I love penguins and considered trying to touch one at the St. Louis Zoo before I thought better of it thinking that the zoo keeper might come after me!
3.  I almost always have at least 2 books going.  And I don’t mix them up.
4.  I have a creepy eye thing.  I cannot handle anyone touching their eyes or anything getting too close to mine.  Yep that means NO CONTACTS!
5.  I am kind of OCD – I think things done a certain way and in a certain order.  It is just who I am.

What about you guys?  What do you have to share with me today?
